Day in the life of the ward team. |

Dear friends, Busy day on the ward yesterday; some of you have expressed an interest in the day-to-day of our work, so I thought I’d run it through. Sam had a hearing for a search warrant for a shop on the ward; unfortunately he was not successful as the magistrate wasn't convinced. Rasa carried out a mental health warrant in the morning, and then took the unwell person to hospital. Chris assisted at the arrest for the breach of Domestic Violence Prevention Order (DVPO). He’d gone to check on the welfare of a victim of domestic abuse and that the DVPO was being followed, but found the perpetrator present so arrested to bring before the court. In the afternoon, he also assisted at the arrest for possession of crack cocaine on Pennard Road. The suspect was charged and bailed to court. When Rasa and Sam were back from their first deployment they took on a human trafficking job where a poor woman had been kept in servitude. We took her to hospital for her injuries to be treated while we managed to arrange emergency accommodation for her. I had funding for an extra patrol for an officer. He arrested someone for skipping bail and took them off to Islington custody before coming back and conducting a few searches on the green.
After a quick dash home, we are back in this morning we are doing more DVPO checks and out looking for some people who have skipped bail. If these insights are useful, then please let me know; and I can do more. | ||
